This cabinet met my needs and wishes very well. I had a free-standing, pretty fussy and unstylish, jewelry armoire before, but this new cabinet has many advantages: it takes up no floor space (I wall-mounted it); it has a clean, simple design; it is less likely to be obvious to a burglar; and it has a light-duty lock (you don't really have to keep them out, just slow them down-burglars apparently are always rushed nervous wrecks). My only significant criticism is that is has insufficient space and hooks for necklaces, especially longer ones (most modern ones are too long for the hooks inside the door). I would prefer another necklace hanging areas, like in the center-back, instead of all those shelves, which I didn't use. I added some small stick-on hooks to the main necklace area in the center-back, and on the insides of the frames in the same area, with mediocre results. Not being a big ring fan, I used most of the top ring area for my collection of vintage pins and brooches - works great, looks great. I noticed a few small quality defects like glue globs on the plush fabric lining, and paint defects. The mirror is pretty good, no complaints. Stud earrings have to be hung by extending the backs to the end of the post. This a little tedious during initial setup, but won't be a big deal with daily use, I think, when only one or two pairs need to be hung.Installation: You will need two persons to hang this; it is heavy. This tip may help: I screwed into the wall a 2x4 (12-in long) temporary ledger, and leveled and centered it, where I wanted the bottom of the cabinet. So, then I just set the weight of the cabinet on the ledger and screwed it in, easy! Of course you will have to remove the ledger and spackle and paint the holes, but it's well worth it. I had wood lath to screw into, but I'm a unsure that this cabinet will hold on sheetrock with the wall achors provided. Try to hit at least one stud, predrill the holes, and use a bit longer screws to go into the wood. Or, replace those wall anchors with good, large molly (toggle) bolts. Even for a light item like a paper towel holder, those anchors will come out before you know it.
